IN THIS LESSON

Course overview:

I want to take a moment to familiarize you with the rhythm of this course. Each chapter will include 3 parts:

  • Preparation: An overview to ground your system in knowledge, followed by prompts to explore and clarify your focus for the medicine session.

  • Medicine: A guided meditation designed to help you experience and embody the medicine of each chapter.

  • Integration: Prompts to integrate the benefits of your medicine experience through the rituals of creative arts, contemplative practices, and intentional movement.

As a reminder, this course is self guided and self paced. I encourage you to move slowly. Healing has its own rhythm and timeline. Pushing that pace will backfire. I suggest you spend most of your time in preparation and integration. The medicine sessions support deep healing, but rely upon the fertile ground of preparation and integration for healing to take root. You are likely to stay with some chapters longer than others, listen to some meditations many times while getting what you need from others the first time you listen. There is no right or wrong way. Honor the rhythm that best suits your system.

Please know I am available for individual mentoring (beginning May, 2025), and offer twice monthly group mentoring- the Healer’s Circle (coming May, 2025). Important considerations to hold in mind:

  • You likely have many parts you’d like to get to know, many places within you where healing is welcome. I find it to be most helpful to work with one goal or intention at a time. Then, when that feels complete, move through the course again with another focus.

  • With regard to choosing which goal or intention to start with, if you are new to working with parts I suggest choosing a focus that elicits low to moderate emotional intensity. If you begin with a highly activating theme you are more likely to become overwhelmed, and there is no healing there. Start with the easy stuff and build from there.

  • Please know this course is designed as an independent study. It is not psychological treatment and is not intended to replace individual therapy. As such, it is not likely to be a good fit for those wishing to address themes that are highly emotionally activating or overwhelming. For these sorts of challenges, consider individual therapy.
